The hancock residence was a pier and grade beam foundation for an ADU to be built.
First, we cleared and grubbed the job site and excavation began into the hillside. While drilling the piers we had come across water and had to begin dewatering. Once dewatering was done the piers were placed and poured. From there forms and rebar were placed and the concrete was then poured. In addition to the ADU foundation, we had site retaining walls with stairs that connected the upper and lower terraces. Once the job was completed the customers were left with a new foundation for the ADU to be built upon with stairs as an accessway from their home. This left returning customer Decker Engineering satisfied and ready to begin new projects.
